In the year
1997-98 , the Govt. of U.P. launched an innovative
Diversified Agriculture Support Project (DASP) with the
financial assistance from the World Bank. The project
objective is “ to promote sustainable agriculture livelihood
by intensification and diversification of agriculture
through a participatory approach involving farmers and
groups taking into account the comparative advantage of
different agro-ecological zone and greater private sector
participation” This institute has implemented above project
in the district Jaunpur and has performed appreciable work.
Highlights of the project is given below.
Under
the DASP U.P. Jaunpur , UPSLRP- Pratapgarh and UPWSRP-
Sultanpur, Jaunpur, Pratapgarh year wise diversification
and intensification which are achieved from 2000-2007 are
given below in tabular form.
